As a retired software developer I feel I wore blinders having the source code after watching how you addressed the issue. I hope you contacted TidRadio with the program issue and how you fixed it. They have been updating things quite a bit.

Using a repeater I went 40 miles yesterday and it was flawless. TD-H3 and H8 are the best.

You did not say what version of the app you are using.

I think if you just set the com port to less than 10 in device manager and in the software it will work. Most of those older programs I’ve used with radios don’t work when the port number is higher.

Hello, I have a question. Is the remote control only in LAN or can it also be controlled from another address? I ask this because I don't see any server program and I don't see that it needs to open ports either.

so, if you want to quickly program in sub 50mHZ frequencies (CB channels as receive only) you can - CHIRP won't accept sub 50mHZ values for this radio.

In QuanshengDock v0.32.22q (which is the latest) you've introduced some more options for audio setup (Microphone device, Listening device, Audio to Radio, Audio From Radio). So the audio configuration shown in this video (linking audio sources and sinks via control panel) is no longer needed, right?

Hello everyone! After flashing NICSUREMOD_240606v5 in the “native” program “H3 Programming Software”, when trying to boot from the radio, it requires a password. Neither 11882 nor any other standard ones are suitable. Returning the factory firmware H3_240606 does NOT solve the problem. Moreover, via Bluetooth and through tidstation0_37_1b, everything is read and edited. There were no problems before the NICSUREMOD_240606v5 firmware.

will yout software work with mac? If so can you please upload a tutorial on the mac process?

Nice tuto and software ! Do you need a spécial câble or something ? I plugged it to the computer with the prog câble, the radio channels are read but no sound ?

Damn, Im So Sad That I can`t Connect My uvk5/6 To My Computer because My COmputer is windows 7 and i cant update to windows 11 or even windows 10 because the gutts are old, when i bought this computer the seller said to me that it will be no problem for windows 10, but its a Huge problem, i caant find not a single drive for audio or anything, its just plain windows 10 aand without any sound or graphic drives, nothing works, so i went back to windows 7 and jeah, i cant afford anything, not even my medicine , im disabled, have had two open heart surgeries and i cant afford anything, some days i even go without eating food, my only hobby is radio, but i cant even enjoy that because of the scammers. ehh, i kind a hate this world, there are not a single human in my life that have shown good to Me, but hey, im not giving up and i still will help people if i will be able to, yestarday i helped my neighbor old laddy with her firewood, gave her my splastic tarp because the rain started and her firewood was not covered, i took my plastic and ran to her property to savbeher wood, not only that, but im not boastting about what i do, im not filming when i help people, sometimes i think i should film and videotape how i help people aand animals, but then again i dont do it because im not like that, i like to help, i would not like to do it for money or fame, i do it because i enjoy helping people, but i have been hit back so many times, one guy said that hes far way and hes grandma needs help for her products, he gave me a list what to buy and he said that she will give the money back becaus ei dont have any monmey you know, i do buy everything he aasked, i went there and she have no money, well, what can i do, nothing, gifted her the products and then i wrote to the guy who asked me to help and he blocked me, it just hurts, hurts real abd when people are scammers and they lie thru they teeth :( im 34 and its SUPER ULTRA RARE When people are helping Me, most people who say they wuill help me start to ignore my problems and say that it all will be god, but it will not, noone have helped me, noone, i sometimes want to cry because we live in this world with such peiople who lie, scam, they steal and do all these crazy bad things and they feel good about it. i try my best to make everybody feel good, but whatdo i get in return? scammers, thiefs, everything bad,m but stil, i aint changing, i will still do good as much as i can and i hope You have a wonderful day . :) piece be with You andif You need any tips or anything, ask Me, il try to help You :) Yhank You NicSure For This Geart Video And All Of Your Videos, I Enjoy Them Really Much :)

It's great to see that someone is also making progress in reverse engineering the firmware! >as I am not at the point where I can add a new menu yet Without the source code it's PITA. You need to hook menu handlers, which is not trivial because of the way compiler generates code for switch/case statements. In my modification I just implemented my own menu, because it's much easier.

This is great! This is looking amazing already!! Imagine being able to flash firmware, change power settings, adjust memories, and operate the radio all from one interface! Love it!

Same with my attempts for updating the firmware. My download is the GMRS, after download the file is .rar. Click the folder, it opens as an .exe. Installed the app. Some of the app lettering is gibberish. Numerous times I uninstalled and reinstalled the file, there is nothing in the folder to work with for firmware updating. Other UA-camrs', show numerous files and folders in their download folder and their firmware update goes very well. Then I tried the HAM file for the TD H3, same-same, my guess this firmware thingy-bob is truly messed up. UPDATE: Last night I sent an email to Tidradio via their site contact, explaining my issue. This morning from Tidradio I received their ZIP file; impressive turn-around. Just now successfully installed their update, GMRS_240530. So yes, there was an issue with the original release of the software, and the good news it is fixed.

When I try to extract the power app I get a virus alert! Anyone else getting that?
